I was contacted on LinkedIn by their in-house recruiter. It was apparent that I had 1 year and 8 months of experience in the field for a role that required 2 years.
I replied fairly quickly, and they took over a week to get back to me. They eventually invited me to a video interview.
I waited for 10 minutes for the scheduled interview before emailing to check if all was okay. There was no message about being late. I continued waiting until 10 minutes before the end of the slot when they finally appeared.
Everything seemed good, and they told me they were sending a coding test over. Subsequently, I was informed that I didn’t have the required 2 years of experience by their team (which was fairly apparent, given they had seen my LinkedIn and CV well before this stage), so they wouldn’t be pursuing this any further.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.
