Technically good engineers. That's it.
Absolutely toxic culture:
Unclear path to promotion: It's hit or miss. If you're lucky to have a decent manager and you are ready to sacrifice your free time for work, you might get it. Or if you've been in the company a long time. Nobody cares about your actual performance.
Company breaks their own rules: Policies are changed at the will of the company with no notice. Sometimes they even change the policy for the previous period. Like, they backwards apply how the bonus is calculated so that you expected one thing but got way less.
Company acts cheap: They want to cut benefits to save a buck while spending a fortune on unoptimized infrastructure and processes. The budgets for any kind of event are at the "mom's garage startup" level.
Toxic people: Long-time employees will make passive-aggressive comments if you dare to ask something. When you try to raise an issue about company behavior, non-affected employees will try to put the blame on you.
Python backend developer. Many steps and challenges, but also good support throughout the process. Clear feedback and instructions on how to prepare before each step. Good impression after passing the whole process.
Relatively simple, but very long. It took more than a month. I provided my available time; however, HR managed to book two out of three interviews outside the given slots. Rejected on team fit.
Phone screening containing technical questions (SOLID, ACID). Coding challenge focused on multithreading (building a registry of services), plus testing the application to ensure production-ready code by the end of the interview.
