Lots to learn at Rivian, really fast-paced.
I was hired and told the yearly compensation program is being instituted, but that's a farce.
There is no yearly equity/bonus. Management keeps dodging the question when asked about a yearly bonus/equity refresher. It's more like they are not transparent.
They have a formal 1:1 called "recharge," which people hardly follow.
My advice to people is: if they are at a place where work is aggressive and fast-paced and you can grow, do not come here. The equities offered here are peanuts.
Also, a note: the good reviews in here are all done by the people's team, so do not trust all the good reviews.
Please tell the employees the truth and be transparent about your compensation program.
Asked questions about projects on the resume, and then went into a LeetCode easy/medium C problem. Gave decent advice and help during the process and allowed time to talk about the problem after finishing the assessment.
Recruiter phone screen. After that, a hiring manager screen. Discussed high-level ideas about a software stack. The interview process took less than two weeks. Got rejected after the hiring manager screen without any feedback.
The overall process was quite comfortable. There were three screens related to different topics. It was not too easy, nor too hard. I would rate it 9/10. The interviewers were kind and open to answer all the questions and doubts I had.
