Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience - Menlo Park, California

January 1, 2020
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Standard process: phone interview, then onsite.

Onsite was relatively disorganized. The first employee arrived 10-15 minutes late, which resulted in a stressful interview. Although I was told I would have a lunch interview with the engineers, the last interviewer simply walked me out.

After my onsite, it took them about 2-3 weeks to collect feedback. At that point, I believe they either lost it or forgot to write down any notes. After following up twice, I was rejected.

Questions

The onsite interview has 3 rounds:

  1. Coding: LeetCode medium (stock trading).
  2. Algorithm: LeetCode medium-hard (heap question).
  3. System Design: Pretty challenging - design a Robinhood feature.
