After four rounds of interviews, I received an offer. However, the offer became irrelevant because Robinhood reneged on its promise of visa sponsorship after the offer was signed.
This occurred despite their strong assurances of sponsorship during the interview process. The immigration representative was exceptionally rude and instructed me to cease asking questions, even after the company had misrepresented their sponsorship policies.
The recruiter gaslighted Canadian interns by stating they should have been more upfront about their sponsorship needs. Furthermore, the housing stipend amount was not specified in the offer letter, leading to suspicion that they might also try to avoid fulfilling that commitment.
This is a shady company with unethical practices. If they treat candidates this way during the offer stage, expect worse treatment once employed.
