Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive, and you'll experience a well-known fintech brand and modern tech stack.

Cons

My contract was terminated just before the end of the probationary period, with little actionable feedback provided beforehand.

The culture prioritizes speed and delivery over quality, collaboration, and mentorship. I even received an excellent review a week before my termination, but what was highlighted as positive during that review later was stated as something that I lacked. Colleagues often go behind your back instead of fostering transparency and inclusion.

During interviews, I asked a senior engineer to name one negative thing about Robinhood that might make him consider leaving. He admitted:

“There’s a lot of work and pressure, but they pay well. Still, they eventually let go of people anyway, and I’m sure they’ll do it to me too. I’ve accepted that.”

That mindset speaks volumes about the company’s culture and the lack of job security.

I relocated for this position in good faith and now have to deal with the financial impact.

Advice to Management

Work on building trust and long-term stability. High pay isn’t enough if people expect to be disposable.

Provide clearer expectations and feedback so employees know where they stand.
