They have good lunch perks, and their actual colleagues are nice. Most devs want to work and do things.
The work sucks. They literally lied about promo timelines, expectations, and the work in the interview and the recruiting sessions they held.
It ends up being mostly dev ops work. The whole Software Platform org has lost most of its leadership and has the highest churn rate I have ever seen. More than half the people have left the company or the org of their own choice.
Most managers and senior devs are checked out and waiting for their grants in March to come through and then will leave.
Care about your people. Stop this top-down, always approach to work with strict deadlines all the time. It serves no purpose.
