Conducted four 50-minute Zoom interviews: two with upper management and two with developers.
Upper management was fine. There was a good discussion about company evolution and current direction, and alignment with the candidate's goals and interests was checked. Based on this, half a dozen more interviews were scheduled.
Interviews with the developers were more like a conversation between peers, with opinionated pseudo-technical discussions.
HR called back after the technical interviews stating that the two engineers gave negative feedback – "not a good fit" – and that was it.
This was completely disconnected from the feedback given at the end of each technical interview, where all answers the candidate provided were either designs the company was doing or planning to do.
