Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

October 1, 2022
Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process consisted of an OA and then a 4-hour final round.

The OA included CodeSignal plus two simulations that candidates were required to complete. Performance on the simulations was weighted heavily. The previous year, despite achieving a perfect score on CodeSignal, a low performance on the simulations resulted in no invitation to the final rounds.

There were four final round interviews: two technical and two behavioral. Neither of the technical questions were particularly difficult. However, one interviewer seemed to have a very specific approach in mind for a problem. They became increasingly frustrated when I proposed solutions with the same runtime complexity but different from their own.

Questions

CodeSignal Simulations:

  • Build a robot (debugging)
  • Identify foxes that will die of plague (IQ)

Final Rounds:

  • Two technicals (LC)
  • Two behaviorals
