Process

I received an email stating that the interview would be held at a particular time in the morning on a specific day. I received a call, and then the interviewer told me he would call again in the afternoon. I waited until the evening, but I did not receive the call. I emailed in the evening to ask if the interview would still take place. I received an email stating that the interview would be held the next day in the afternoon. I received the call in the afternoon.

I am unsure if the interviewer had my resume. He asked what I was currently pursuing and what courses I had taken so far. He then asked me questions based on my courses, not from my resume or projects. I did not remember the topics I had studied in my coursework and told him so. He asked a few more questions related to hash tables, how to remove collisions, the complexity of removing a value from a hash table, and polymorphism, which I believe I answered correctly.

At the end, he stated, "Don't think you are a fit for this role. You can't forget what you study in the courses."

I need to strengthen my basics; that's what I felt.

Hope this helps you!
