Process

OA with a Codenignal GCA and two cognitive tests, followed by a back-to-back VO consisting of one BQ round and one coding round. The only downside is that I waited two weeks for the result and only received it after asking. It appears they were keeping me in suspense in case someone reneged on their offer.

Questions

BQ is about walking through my resume and asking common Amazon-like questions.

Coding is a LeetCode Easy question.

Cons: Unprofessional middle management. New people are hired at a higher level while they are nowhere near a match for most of the senior engineers. In some cases, people with almost zero experience are hired at a similar or higher level than people with 10+ years of experience. Pros: Learned a lot on the job. Had a mentor and manager that checked in often and guided me through the projects. The project has real impact and was pushed to prod. It will be launched after further optimization. Lots of events for interns. Went to an SF Giants baseball game, for example.

Cons: - Some of the teams have remote mentors and managers, which can be hard to work with. - RO is not the highest.
