A "panel" interview with over 20 people in a small conference room, with interviewers in the front, back, and all around me, for almost 2 hours.
Relatively professional and a wide range of questions. I think I did well, as I actually had done the stuff they were looking for.
Some of the interviewers seemed to harp on certain words I had said over 2 hours of continuous questioning, and not on the overall ideas I talked about. I was never asked if I required a break or a glass of water. I felt that they valued their time more than my time/effort.
They followed up again after a week to ask a couple of questions about the "harp-words." I had lost interest by then and politely asked them if they could move beyond that. They took it as offensive (I think) and told the recruiter that I was not honest and seemed to give them conflicting answers between the two interviews (2-hour onsite and 8-minute follow-up on the phone).
My feedback to them: Please respect the interviewees' time and effort. Look at the big picture and overall ideas expressed & background. You are not involved in changing the world, but only selling finance products. Pause before questioning anyone's honesty.
Pick the top word: Initiative, Innovation, Collaboration, Cooperation, blah, blah, blah, Integrity, Honesty, blah, blah.
