Software Engineer/.NET Interview Experience

Process

I applied online and received a call from a recruiter after two weeks. I had a phone interview the next day, which consisted mostly of behavioral questions and lasted for 30 minutes. At the end, the recruiter said he would provide me with an update in 3-5 business days. I received a call from him after three days, informing me that they were moving forward with other candidates. I was not told the reason or given any feedback regarding the review process, which was very disappointing. I was asked if I required visa sponsorship, either now or in the future. I answered that I would need sponsorship for the extension process in the future. I am assuming that is one of the reasons for my rejection, as I was not given any explanation.
