Met with the recruiter, who was friendly and informative. They mentioned they would send a "cognitive assessment" that needed to be completed by the end of the interview cycle.
The "assessment" was basically an IQ test – SAT-type questions around math and language processing. I tend to do well on those and felt good about this one.
However, it's a massive red flag that this company would only accept high scores.
The tech screen interview was a four-part question about detecting anagrams that got progressively more interesting. I should have done better, but I was rusty.
The interviewer wasn't friendly, never smiled, seemed rushed, dressed sloppily, and was not pleased to be there.
