I had my first interview with HR, which lasted half an hour. I was told I would then have a one-hour screening round with the Engineering Manager. During this session, we would walk through my CV, understand each other's experience and expectations, and cover some theoretical technical questions. Following that, there would be a technical round with live coding.
I received an email from another recruiter regarding an interview. I asked about the interview format to confirm if I needed to prepare further. Surprisingly, I didn't receive a response.
On the day of the interview, I was told to solve a coding question. Based on the initial HR call, I had prepared for a verbal interview, which is common with most companies. This was disappointing.
In all the interviews I've had so far, the HR departments have shared the format, and my preparation was manageable. This experience was not what I expected.
