Sr. QA Engineer Interview Experience - Austin, Texas

July 1, 2021
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I received a call from the recruiter stating that I was a good fit for the role. He asked me to complete an online assessment test.

He was not very forthcoming about the role or other questions I had.

After the test, I emailed the recruiter but did not hear back for more than 10 days. Subsequently, I received an email stating they wanted a video interview and asked for my availability. I provided my availability for the next six business days.

There was no further communication until a day before the interview was scheduled. They had to reschedule the interview due to a conflict on their end.

In the meantime, I accepted another offer and informed the recruiter to cancel the interview as a professional courtesy. There was no communication back.

I found out the interview was canceled when I attempted to log into the meeting to inform the hiring manager, as I had not heard back from the recruiter.

The way they are communicating with candidates is quite unprofessional.

Questions

The assessment test contained basic testing questions.
