Computer Engineer • Former Employee
Pros: Good benefits, stocks, monthly sports pay, and time to volunteer. You also receive money to give to non-profit organizations each month. There's also a wellness day (you don't work on this day).
Cons: Very bad leadership. I'm not sure how managers are selected. My manager likes to pressure employees to finish fast, with very short estimations on tasks that should take longer if code quality is important. I'm not sure if he is trying to impress his manager or if his goal is to take advantage of his leadership position. We, as employees, have pointed out his way of work many times, but he says he agrees and will change, yet the next day the same thing happens.
Leaders tend to threaten many times how they wish to see us continue working in the company, especially after they give us some minor "issues" they think we have.
After working in many companies, this is the first time I've felt hate to work in hi-tech, and it's a big disappointment that Salesforce is the company doing this.
We work five days a week, nine to eleven hours, with a thirty-minute to an hour break. If you think this is a lot, please wait until your manager sets up a one-on-one meeting with you, saying, "I am disappointed that on some days you left work early."
