I received an email from a recruiter regarding an opening. The interview was a quick, three-step process:

• Discussion about my background, experience, and current projects with the hiring manager. Here, we also discussed the nature of the role and what I should expect from it.
• This was followed by a three-hour HackerRank test. The test was not very difficult, but not very straightforward either. It required a good grasp of data structures, parsing, and DFS/BFS mechanisms.
• The final interview consisted of five rounds. The interviewers touched upon Java, JS, and CSS fundamentals. All rounds involved coding exercises as well as 'predict the output' type questions. The coding questions were LeetCode medium level. I liked that the primary focus of the interview was to gauge your fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
