Best interview process and recruiter workmanship in the Bay Area. I interviewed with Salesforce in Aug-Sept 2018. The process took 4+ weeks. Round 0: Initial call with recruiter about Salesforce and teams. Round 1: Video call with Hiring Manager. I was asked about my background and my projects, followed by an easy-level coding question. Another coding question with a focus more on the usage of OOP concepts than actual logic. Round 2: 2 hr remote video call. The interviewer emailed an algorithmic question on some scenario. We joined the call, and he discussed the problem and left me free to come up with a solution. I took almost 85-90 mins to give him an optimized working solution and finally emailed him back the complete solution code. It's an open-book kind of round, free to use IDE and Google. Rounds 3-6: Onsite with the team. Really enjoyed talking with multiple team members. There were 4 rounds, each 1 hr, and discussions were mostly on the work I have done and what the expectations are. Some rounds included behavioral questions. A round on a design question. Round 7: Final call with VP. More on explaining what the team does and some of my achievements in previous projects. Though most of the rounds were about projects done in the past, there were few technical questions about problem-solving. Overall, I enjoyed the complete interview process and special mention for the recruiter. She was very punctual about the next steps and addressed each and every minor request.
