I applied to the database position through an internal referral email at my research lab at school. The team leader reached out to me about 20 days after I sent the email, and we had an informal meeting the next day. We discussed what the position entails and what is expected, and also reviewed some of my background. He was very nice and even gave me some advice on my future interviews with the rest of his team. I received and finished the OA the next weekend, got a perfect score on it, and scheduled interviews the following week. Both interviewers were very nice and asked standard questions. They were mostly trying to see if my background matched what they are working on with their team. I received an offer the following week.
