I emailed the recruiter and received a quick response, setting up an interview time. I understood the logic for all the interview questions, but the interviewer strongly wanted the code to compile, which unfortunately we couldn't manage in the allocated time. I had to repeatedly ask the recruiter for an update after the interview, and received the rejection email almost three weeks later. Although the interview was pleasant, it was jarring to receive an automated rejection email without any feedback.
