Great people. Great benefits. Remote work allowed.
Recent layoffs mostly affected very talented folks, but the majority of them were from San Francisco to cut down costs. The company does not have Ohana (family) values anymore.
There are many other ways to cut back on expenses.
It is very difficult to get talented and loyal employees. The show must go on, and to compensate, we use contractors to fill in for the same or more cost. Earlier, we were boasting on our employees as our biggest asset, but now it looks like just a mad rush for bringing the stock price up.
