Salesforce has great pay. On the tech side, you can also get decent experience in AWS.
Politicking does occur. You will be denied a promotion if the wrong person says no, regardless of how many say yes. You will be told to do what you can, but get hints to work 60+ hour weeks. And my favorite: having people labeled as architects make decisions that are not grounded in anything other than hopes and dreams, without any real forethought.
Add a checks and balance system that holds architects accountable for their decision-making.
Reconsider the promotion system to eliminate the politicking of having one person, who is not the official decision-maker, say no that carries more weight just because of their name or title.
