Junior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Overland Park, Kansas

Process

This position is about mobile development. The first interview was scheduled for the day after I received HR's call, so I didn't have much time to prepare.

On the second day, they called and asked a range of technical questions on Java and Android. These included easy questions like 'What is static in Java?' and harder ones on exception handling. If you've studied algorithms well, these shouldn't be too difficult. I would rate the difficulty as average for large companies.

Android questions are not universally applicable to all candidates. Instead, they are based on your projects and can be difficult to analyze. The phone interview lasted about an hour, and it included coding exercises on a Google shared document.

Overall, it seems like a challenging interview process.
