Process

I applied through my college. They invited me for a test, detailing what would be tested. It was gracious of them to specify the material and the language for the test.

The test was extremely hard. The test date was only two days after I received the email, and I hadn't studied any programming languages in two years.

I received an interview offer, even though I felt I had messed up the test. They explained that the test was only a small part of their consideration and that they mainly screened applicants based on their CVs.

I was interviewed in English. The interviewer was kind and fun to talk with. He asked about my previous experience, passion, and ideal job.

Unfortunately, after a long interview, he said he was offering me a position as a Data Scientist. However, based on our discussion about my passion and interests, he concluded that I did not fit the role (even though I was qualified, he stated). This was because I wasn't interested in coding-related jobs, and he was seeking someone passionate about coding and analyzing data. And that was it.

A one-hour-and-thirty-minute interview that ultimately resulted in an offer for a different job, which I only learned about upon rejection. Nice.
