I was called for an interview for the position of Software Engineer. First, I received a call for a direct face-to-face interview. They called me to Bangalore.
In the first round, I waited almost four hours for my interview. The interview happened as a formality, as the interviewer who was supposed to take my interview was not present. After all this, they did not even say sorry to me, and their behavior was very rude.
They promised to reimburse my travel costs, but after the interview, they told me to come for the second round.
In the second round, the interview finally took place. Two interviewers came and started asking me about my past experience without introducing themselves. It seemed to me that they were in a big hurry, and I was wasting their time.
After asking some basic technical questions about my current work, they started asking some basic programming questions, of which I answered around 60%.
The interview was a mixed experience. After the interview, I was told that HR would contact me for follow-up.
I did not get any response from HR after two weeks. So, I assumed I did not get through. I then tried sending emails to HR for my travel reimbursement (as I was told I would get it). After that, all my emails bounced back. Finally, I came to know that my email was blocked by the receiver.
