The first phase is a written exam, similar to the GMAT. All the questions are easy but require fast completion. The reasoning section seems a bit hard. However, this is also the step where most applicants fail to proceed to the next stage. Exam results are announced in about two weeks.
If you pass, the next step is an interview session, which could take between one and two hours. It consists of two parts.
The first part is an interview about your personality, ambitions, and missions in life.
The second part is more technical, focusing on what you did in school. (I applied through the school where I was doing my MSc in Computers.) You also need to give a few minutes presentation of your schoolwork.
During the interview, there was nothing really difficult about it. You need to be honest and relaxed. However, the interviewers check if you know Korean. If you do, it is a big plus.
Passing the written exam is, I think, the most difficult part of getting a job at Samsung, even though the exam by itself seems easy.
