Free transport (bus service).
Free mid-day food (6 menus to choose from and excellent palette with diversity).
Good canteen, clean environment (a bit cluttered, but it's manageable).
Opportunity for a business trip to Korea (it is usually fodder they feed to you, hooked; there is nothing in Korea but work only).
I worked here for 5 months, but I couldn't take it anymore and left as soon as I got a chance. The services were excellent, but the work was backbreaking and menial. It felt like a daily-wage worker with no improvement in skill and doing excessive work for nothing.
Timings were killing too. I barely had enough interaction with my family, and my health started suffering too.
Being a Korean company, it believes in "work before everything" – even your life, health, family, everything. You are a well-fed donkey whose only job is to do heavy-lifting for your master without any question. The pay is not as grand as they say.
The biggest fool HR makes out of you is by initiating company-wide "activities" or "learning sessions" which you cannot attend because your manager is whipping you from behind to work instead.
Worst things: the DEF system. Here is how it works:
Breaking any of the above rules will cost you a DEF. Three DEFs will automatically count as an off-day, and your salary would be deducted.
So, if you don't live near the company and take about 2 hours of travel on each side, you spend 13 hours a day being a slave. Adding your sleep to it, you sell 21 hours of your day to Samsung for a pay that you cannot spend on yourself (what can you possibly buy that will help you for the 3 hours a day that you get for yourself?).
Please stop treating employees like donkeys. Even though you feed them well, they are not your slaves and have a life outside the company too. This is India, not Korea.
Basic CS fundamental questions were asked, with DSA and C++ given more importance. Other than that, it depends on the team you are joining. Apart from that, be good in the pointer and connectivity parts.
The process started with an aptitude round. This was followed by a technical round conducted by a technical lead, and then a second technical round with the technical manager. Finally, there was an HR round. The entire process took place over one
Pretty good. Nothing I couldn't handle. I had prepared well, so it was sort of a walk in the park. Pretty good. Nothing I couldn't handle. I had prepared well, so it was sort of a walk in the park.
