Aggressive payroll, significant funding for necessary equipment, and a competent engineering staff (at least for the AI team).
Good physical health practitioners on site to help deal with the sedentary routine.
The stance regarding the COVID-19 situation was borderline inhumane. They delayed the home office for more than a week, requiring special monitoring software to block non-work related web traffic, and required an individual activity review each week for all employees (an email was sent telling people to not "slack off" on the first day of home office).
Human resources leadership is non-existent. Every single time I had to talk to an "important" HR person, I was treated like someone that was personally attacking them. No one ever cared about my problems, no one ever listened, and I was humiliated and disrespected in public when talking to the HR leadership. Complete and utter disrespect for the employee.
No tolerance for anything non-work related ("If you get called for a presentation on a conference, do you go on work hours? No, because we don't pay you to be giving presentations while you should be working" – said by a significantly higher-up person on my first day).
No learning environment; no one shares knowledge (there is a presentation once in a blue moon just to say that it exists). Not a friendly work environment (people don't seem to talk to one another).
You're expected to work exactly 8 hours and 24 minutes per day, to be punched in at the beginning and end of your work routine. However, if you have a high enough job, you're freed from such restrictions, making a heavily unbalanced workplace (freedom only for the higher-ups).
I mean... There are so many things wrong with this company that if I were to discuss every single aspect, this text would easily be 100 pages long.
The first thing that I would recommend is demolishing the current Human Resources structure and remodeling the company to better fit the 21st century.
Secondly, try to better integrate different teams (and maybe intra-teams) with a more lax schedule (once every two Fridays there is a little activity with snacks, maybe presentations) to enable a better work-life balance.
Pathetic interview process. Don't attend interviews here. Unnecessarily, they will ask you to come to the office for the interview process and simply reject it without any reason. There are 4 levels of interview: * Initial screening * Face-to-fac
At first, there was a phone call interview. The recruiter was awesome. After this, I had an interview with three engineers, and it all went well. They asked some questions about my history and my background skills.
The recruitment process began with a message on LinkedIn, followed by a call. It was transparent and straightforward regarding the position, providing me with details and expectations of what was expected from an employee in this role.
