Process

The first interview was over the phone, very simple with some basic resume questions. The next was the technical interview.

The interview was three hours long. I met with four different batches of people.

  1. The first person was a senior engineer who didn't really ask any technical questions but just showed me the campus and explained a little about the company.
  2. The second batch was a group of four young test development engineers. They asked me about my academic experience and projects.
  3. The third interview was with three senior-level engineers who asked me in-depth regarding assembly language coding.
  4. The last meeting was with the head of the test development team, who asked me an algorithm question where I had to come up with my own solution to a situation.

Questions

  1. Write code to print 1 to 10 in any coding language.
  2. Fill out the truth tables for NAND, NOR, and XOR gates.
  3. How many bits in a byte?
  4. Explain the code that was written (make sure you are good in C/C++ coding).
  5. Write the code for a given problem using assembly language. Use logic shift left and logic shift right.
  6. Cover hex to binary and binary to hex.
