Pros: Quickly became a largely autonomous, trusted member of the team, answering to an assigned full-time "buddy" for mentorship. Colleagues are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are great and provide entertainment, low-cost snacks & refreshments, and a gym.

Cons: Co-ops have less ability to choose their own work, which, while ideally done on a volunteer basis, is sometimes overridden by the scrum master's expectations.

Pros: - Opportunities for personal and professional growth - Perks like free food, car allowance, free laptop, and lots of office space - Team holidays and massive parties

Cons: - Non-technical managers micromanaging technical employees. - Tech employees are treated like slaves. - Non-tech employees are respected more than engineers in a company built on software. - Too many acquisitions for tech staff to handle (and for non-tech staff to enjoy). - More growth opportunities for non-tech, which is a downward spiral for SAP. - High management-to-project ratio. - Focus is on the development of the business side while neglecting engineering. - Copying the "IBM" culture; employees acting like they are overly professional and formal when in reality managers are barking at techies because they themselves do not have a technical background.

Pros: Well organized, all is in the right place.

Cons: It's hard to go with one's own ideas.
