The hiring process included an online interview, a 1-hour technical interview, and a 20-minute combined technical and HR interview. This was for a college graduate hiring program, and SAP visited our college. They also conduct one more interview for off-campus graduates.
Questions came from all computer fields, but more questions were from databases and data structures. They asked about linked lists, doubly linked lists, and circularly linked lists from data structures. Along with these, they asked for other programs using recursion, like reversing a linked list. Normalization, joins, and SQL queries were asked in databases. Algorithm efficiency using Big O notation was assessed in the online test. They didn't ask any puzzles during my interview, but they asked them of my friends. They also asked me to explain why Java is platform-independent.
