Process

I was first contacted by a recruiter who asked about my interest in the role. The recruiter then sent me a coding challenge, which was of medium difficulty. However, they asked for frequent commits on GitHub, which was a good sign as they could determine the time taken for completion. I completed the assignment and submitted it within one day, using O(log n) time complexity. I did not receive a reply for a week. When I emailed them about the status, they said they were still reviewing the coding challenges. After another week, I received a reply stating that I was rejected.

I contacted the recruiter about the reason. The recruiter was not even aware that I had been rejected and replied, "We are still reviewing the responses from other candidates and will get back to you as soon as I hear something." I then mentioned that I had received an email stating I was rejected. The recruiter apologized, saying they were unaware the team had made their decision, and wished me luck applying to other positions.

I was pretty sure I would be hired as the task was very easy and I completed it in the most optimal way in very little time. When I asked the reason for rejection, they said, "We cannot provide feedback at this time."
