The salary hikes and bonuses are good compared to other companies, but there has been a decline in recent years.
It is easy to get appreciated at work if you deliver and showcase your achievements.
SAP has been late to adopt emerging technologies like cloud and AI.
Use of proprietary tools and technologies and less adoption of open source in areas like AI and databases.
You may feel outdated if you stay long in SAP, and the skill may not be relevant outside select few companies who mainly work in SAP implementations.
SAP in recent years has been moving away from its product roots and is becoming more of a marketing and sales company. More focus has been on share price rather than innovation. There have been too many acquisitions without any proper justification.
