Smart people who leave as soon as they can
Exec Leadership that does not listen to anyone. Way too much politics for a company this size. Multiples of each Exec at CTO, CRO, CFO/Controller have left. This is not the sign of a healthy company. These were experienced leaders that all left FAST. They saw that they were not able to make the needed changes because of the Exec Inner Circle. Execs are happy just hiring a new round of CS majors and MBA’s and seeing how long they can string them along. GM’s of the Products are inexperienced leaders and micromanagers that have never built a business.
WLB only exists as a topic that leadership says they have been working on for over 3+ yrs so it is not changing. It is so bad that the anonymous employee survey has been replaced with a weekly survey that your manager sees and then asks you questions if you give an answer with less than 4 stars. Very awkward and no one wants to speak up anymore and just leave when they can. Attrition is terrible and the rumor is that you have to sign an NDA when you leave.
People leave at one year if they have the cash to buy their options, or you try to last 2 yrs if you need the options exercise extension.
Competition is going to pass us by if we can’t do more than market our existing service with new names.
Interviewed two weeks ago. 1 hr technical coding interview: Not LeetCode, but a systems design/general coding ability problem. It took a while to map out the solution. My code actually didn’t end up running due to a couple of syntax errors (ran out
Hard HackerRank LC problem. Based on BFS and reverse routing. Sort of hard to parse inputs as well, and I've heard the process ahead is tough too. Would practice LeetCode, plus also know why applying to the company.
The interview process consisted of four rounds. First, a take-home project, a stats interview, a behavioral or culture-fit interview, and then finally a machine learning interview with live coding.
