My resume was passed along to the team by a former colleague. I received an email from the director, which led to a first telephone interview with the hiring manager. This interview focused on understanding my current projects.
Following that, there was another telephone coding session with a developer from the team, and I was subsequently invited for an on-site interview.
The on-site rounds involved interviews with several developers, tech leads, and managers. The questions were relatively straightforward and the coding challenges were quite manageable if one has studied "Cracking the Coding Interview." In total, I spoke with six people, all of whom were very pleasant and seemed like great colleagues to work with, in my opinion.
I was impressed by the speed of the entire process: an email on Friday, a telephone interview mid-week, an on-site visit within a week, and a decision by the following Monday.
I was offered the position, but the compensation package was not what I was seeking. If not for the significant difference in salary, I would have accepted the offer without hesitation.
