Let me start with a statement:

"Never ever follow up for offer letter status with ServiceNow Hyderabad HRs."

Why did I say that? Here is the story.

I gave three rounds of interviews and received a call from HR stating that I was selected. I was asked to submit my documents. Two days later, I received another call from HR to confirm a few details. He mentioned he would be processing my offer letter. Now, the real game begins.

They will make you wait, and as a candidate, you will obviously follow up for updates on your offer letter. They will lie, saying they have put the offer letter for approval. You wait, and after some days, you follow up again. What you consider a follow-up, they interpret as desperation. They then start negotiating by offering the lowest possible salary. They also act smart, claiming this is the best they can offer and that any request for a higher CTC will not be approved by management.

Final Result: I plainly rejected the peanut they offered.

Why did I share this story?

I just wanted to explain the trick played by HRs at ServiceNow so you don't get caught in it.

A second reason is that these HRs should not sit idle and play the same old tricks on every candidate. At the very least, they should be on their toes to find new tricks to fool candidates.

All the best to those who see this. Force HRs to be innovative.
