Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Hyderābād, India
Process
I reached out to many recruiters on LinkedIn for interviews, but most of them ignored my messages because I was working in a service-based company and lacked product-based company experience. Finally, one recruiter picked up my profile after four months of long effort.
Interview: The interview process was very smooth and attractive. They conducted a HackerRank live coding interview, where running code without any test case failures was expected.
Coding Interview - 3 rounds Design Round - 1 (with a very senior guy who has 14 years of experience, a Senior Staff Software Engineer) HM: 3
At least one coding problem was asked in each interview.
Why 3 HM rounds? Even though I solved all the problems asked, my skill set did not match the requirements. Therefore, the HM was unable to make a hire call (the HM said the candidate was strong but not a match for their team's requirements). Hence, the recruiter took my candidacy to the next HM.
Onboarding was very smooth.
