Process

I received a call from a company recruiter and scheduled the first round of the interview over Zoom. The overall process was smooth. HR was reachable and rescheduled an interview slot when I was not available for the mentioned time, just an hour before the interview. Even though I had internet glitches on my side, the interview panel was good enough to let me set up for the interview.

Questions

  1. Given a page with a list of items, each containing an image and a product name. I was asked to come up with test cases that could be written for this page, covering both functional and non-functional aspects.

  2. I was asked if the list rendered on the page displays 10 records, and upon scrolling down, shows the next 10 records. I was then tasked with searching for a record that appears in the third scroll through automation.

  3. I was asked to open the Google page, type in some text, and search. On the search results page, I had to write an XPath for a particular link.

  4. I was asked to write all possible test data for a given binary tree node code that returns a lesser number as output. The question focused on my approach to generating test data.

  5. A Java program was presented to assign train berths to a given number, considering that berths 1 to 8 are assigned to lower to side-upper berths on a train coach, respectively.
