I've been given ample time to complete my role-specific training as well as picking up relevant certifications along the way. This has been quite refreshing compared to other companies that expect you to do the same within heavily compressed timeframes or on your own time.
With respect to my team, my manager has also been fantastic and has made sure that I have what I need in terms of access to necessary people and resources along the way. My peers (local, interstate, and international) have also been very supportive and generous with their time, helping me wrap my head around things.
I also quite like the office and the provided facilities. It certainly gives me something to look forward to when the right technology and amenities are either ubiquitous or fairly easy to access. I actually don't mind spending a bit of extra time in the office as a result.

This seems to be more of an issue with APJ than other regions, but I also understand that the frequency of group activities would be a function of forecasted onboarding.
