The compensation is exceptional. Employees are valued, and the company offers good career opportunities for those who survive onboarding.
It's a "no hand holding" atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the platform is monolithic and heavily customized.
Onboarding is brutal. It's a common gripe that is unilaterally ignored.
Don't say, "We need to hire tens." Instead, say, "Our platform is a one-off. We need to build tens." SN is an awesome, flawless company with an Achilles' heel. It's so easily fixed, too.
We set a date and time for a phone interview, but they did not call. I immediately followed up with an email, but received no response. They should have at least responded as a courtesy to explain why they didn't show up for the interview.
First, I had a technical phone interview. Second, I was given an application to debug and make sure all the test cases passed, with some code refactoring. Onsite: I had a couple of interviews onsite, mainly focused on coding challenges.
Initial 30-minute HR screen. Then, a 1-hour phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, five rounds of onsite interviews with: * 2 senior engineers * 1 architect * 2 managers
