Step 3: Virtual onsite, consisting of two pair programming sessions and one technical deep dive.
Steps 1 and 2 went really smoothly. During the virtual onsite, the first part was a 1-hour refactoring process. The interviewer was yawning, and their phone rang multiple times, which was very distracting. This was truly unexpected, given Shopify's reputation.
The technical deep dive interviewer was great. They asked interesting questions and were very friendly. They dug deeper and elicited some interesting answers from me.
