Chatted about past experience and interests. Asked about current salary and expectations.

Next step was an on-site interview. It was a full-day event.

• The first part was with the recruiter again. This was a great ice-breaker and took the nerves away.
• Next was with the engineering lead. We talked about tech and past experiences. It was a completely atypical interview, with no technical questions, just discussions about technology.
• Part 3 was a pair programming session. We worked through a real problem that the dev was having that day.
• Final discussions were with CTO/Director-level people. Once again, we talked about my previous experiences and education. It was very informal and stress-free.

The whole interview process was completely unexpected.

Interviews at other companies typically involved mind-bending technical questions and algorithmic analysis. This was more equivalent to chatting about cool tech with colleagues.
