Pros: - I was able to switch to a team delivering products of very high impact.
- Ability to take ownership quickly (I led my first project 3 months in).
- Very talented team.
- Few meetings.
Cons: All remote, so I was not able to build relationships with nearly any of my colleagues, and none from other departments.
Having been a senior before, I did not appreciate that I was put in the mid-level bucket. Although I took senior-level responsibilities (onboarding a team, architecture planning, coaching, hiring, company-wide presentations), I was not given a timeline towards a potential promotion back to the senior level.
