The interview has 5-6 stages.

It starts with a live coding exercise of 40 minutes, in which 30 minutes are meant for coding.

The next round is the "growth path" interview.

I'm not sure of further rounds, as I didn't make it beyond this stage.

The coding interview involved a simple brute-force algorithm. There was no need to bother about time or space complexity. Most folks have to be concerned with the growth interview.

As mentioned, my experience was not really interesting to the recruiter, who was probably yawning through the interview and feigning interest. The person was caught off guard when I asked about how the interview went. They didn't seem experienced enough to find talent.

The rejection email also contained feedback that didn't provide much insight. The growth interview focused on weeding out candidates who don't subscribe to the new Shopify culture. I guess I didn't fit in, or maybe I dodged a bullet. Time will tell.
