Coding Exercise: Did well.
Phone Interview:
Received the call four weeks after applying online. The interviewer sounded rushed, constantly interrupting my answers and asking me to shorten them. She mentioned being instructed to ask specific questions and ended the call abruptly without proper closure.
In-Person Interview:
Was called in two weeks after the phone interview for a three-hour session with an expected 8-10 people. Upon arrival, I was informed the interview would only be with a couple of individuals. A proper conference room with a whiteboard was not available. I answered all questions to the best of my knowledge; it appeared the questions were being read from a script.
The position was initially presented as full-time, but during the interview, it was stated to be a contract-to-hire role. It seemed as though a decision against hiring me had already been made.
My time and effort were wasted. Most of the employees are Asian, and I overheard some negative comments regarding the work culture. Based on the manager's explanation, the project did not seem engaging or exciting.
Nothing difficult, all straightforward, typical database questions.
