Pros: - Challenging and interesting work, great work/life balance, great pay and benefits, job security, easy to move laterally, good network for young engineers
Cons: - Job security (there are some that make great efforts to put in little effort).
- Resistant to change.
- Everything that comes with being a large company.
- Less opportunity for travel (the fun kind of travel).
- 'Academic' has a bad connotation.

Pros: The people who work here are extremely friendly and helpful. The work environment is low-stress.

Co-workers are friendly and willing to help with problems.
Cons: The company is far too process-oriented.
There is a lot of red tape for any action you would like to take.
It is nearly impossible to get the Controllers to approve any money spent for internal projects.
Engineers get 3-4 years of experience, then leave for competitors or operating companies, due to lack of advancement opportunities.
