Process

Applied online and was set up for a technical phone interview. That was a 30-minute call, followed by an impromptu 45-minute technical interview with another manager 10 days later. Two weeks after that, another technical interview was scheduled with a manager at a different office. I'm not sure what they were trying to gauge. Finally, I was scheduled for an on-site interview two weeks later. So I flew in to the office and attended the 3-4 hour interview with the same two managers who had interviewed me before. In addition, I interviewed with the director, who asked behavioral questions.

Throughout these phone and face-to-face interviews, we had long discussions about the various projects and the thesis that I described on my resume. At the end of the long interview process, I felt confident they would hire me.
