The first round took place over the phone and lasted for 45 minutes. Questions were asked from Core Java, Spring REST, Spring Boot, and Collections. I cleared the telephonic round.
I then went for a face-to-face discussion. The interview started on time. A lady conducted the interview and asked basic questions on Java OOPS, Collections, Spring Boot, and Microservices. I wrote a Spring REST API and a program to count string characters. I answered all the questions.
She then mentioned that HR would connect with me. Later, I found out that I did not clear the round. It came as a shock that I was rejected after answering all the questions. I asked HR for the reason for rejection, but they did not have an answer. It seems they are wasting candidates' time.
It's better to look for opportunities at other companies rather than applying to the Siemens Electronic City office.
