I am working in Bangalore and one day I got a call from Siemens Noida for an interview for a Senior Software Engineer position. They scheduled a telephonic interview, which took around 1 hour. After that, I didn't get any call from HR regarding the status. After waiting 4 days, I called them. After some time, they confirmed that I had cleared the telephonic technical round and the next technical round would take place via live video conferencing.
This round lasted for almost 2.5 hours, and the level of questions was very good. I answered almost all the questions very well, and the interviewer seemed pretty satisfied with my answers.
After one day, I called HR and asked about the status, and he simply replied, "You are rejected."
I don't understand why the interviewer took 2.5 hours for rejecting me. That's full-on politics played by HR. It seems they are playing politics here too and wasting candidates' time unnecessarily.
